I stayed in the Castilla I about twenty years ago and had the privilege of returning in May 2011 to a Business Conference with three hundred delegates. I wondered if the high standards I experienced the first time would still be present and I am happy to confirm that if anything the Castilla is operating to an even higher standard.

The Castilla I is an excellent hotel we couldnt fault the staff, rooms or food and both of us enjoyed our three night stay. If you are sight seeing in Madrid the hotel is not in the centre but the metro is really easy and only a short walking distance.

I booked this hotel from online pictures and reviews. It was an accurate description! My daughter is studying in Madrid this semester and I wanted to be close to her location. It turned out to be 3 metro stops away, but I would not trade out stay for anything! We stayed in a junior suite on the 15th floor.
